About The Trainer

As a child, as far back as memory serves me, I have always been around and had dogs. I hadn't realized it at the time myself, but my mother had always said that the dogs and I were a family of our own.

As I grew older, I began to realize the jobs I had were very unfulfilling. At the age of 19, I decided to take my savings, give my two weeks notice and go pursue my passion, my calling if you will. I enrolled in a dog-training program that taught me the fundamentals of training dogs to assist persons with mobility disabilities and offered hands on approach to training my first Assistance Dog. It was an intensive and extensive training program and it was the most satisfying experience of my life. At the end of the program, I successfully placed a fantastic Assistance Dog named Charlie with a well-deserving life companion.

As the years have passed, I have studied various training and behavior modification methods, done extensive research on them, been to numerous seminars and have developed my very own technique and philosophy of training and behavior modification. My methods encompass the many different methods and facets of training and behavior modification practices.

One aspect of dog training that I truly felt needed to be addressed was the availability of services to all dog owners. I have spoken with too many dog owners that have unresolved issues with their dogs’ behavior but are unwilling or cannot afford the standard, high price of proper training and behavior modification. I decided to start my own practice based on principles outside of the mainstream canine training business. Thus, Tao of the Dog was born.

Since then, dog owners that would have otherwise opted to forgo training or could not afford training; have received premium dog training and behavior modification services at a very affordable price. I take great pride in my dog training and will continue to offer my services at affordable-to-all pricing to ensure that our dogs are part of the solution, not the problem.
